Strategy, Communications and Philanthropy

My career has taken me from one cultural institution to another. Today, I work alongside them, as an independent advisor. This new chapter gives me the freedom to bring my experience, perspective and focus to organisations at key moments in their development.

Clarify.

Structure.

Bring together.

I advise cultural and public-interest organisations in Belgium and internationally through periods of growth, repositioning and change. My work brings together strategy, communication and fundraising.

I help organisations clarify their priorities, shape a clear and compelling narrative, strengthen their fundraising, and ensure that communication, governance and artistic vision are working in the same direction.

At times of transition, I can also step in to support a team, provide continuity or temporarily take on a leadership role.

Cultural Communication

Museums, orchestras, cultural centres, opera houses, foundations, theatres and NGOs all need to be visible, reach their audiences and communicate clearly. But organisations do not always have the capacity they need, whether on a permanent basis or during a particular period of change or increased activity.

I work with organisations to define what they want to achieve, understand the audiences they need to reach and develop the right communication strategy.

From there, we identify the messages, tools and channels that will make the greatest difference.

I can also provide temporary senior support to a communication team or take on its day-to-day management when continuity is needed.

Fundraising

& Philanthropy

Not every cultural or public-interest organisation has dedicated fundraising expertise. Sometimes it is limited; sometimes it has yet to be developed.

I assess existing fundraising activity and identify how it can be structured, strengthened and expanded, working with both individual donors and corporate partners. The objective is not simply to raise funds. It is to build meaningful, lasting relationships with partners who understand the organisation’s mission and want to support it.

I can carry out a fundraising review, develop a case for support, define a fundraising strategy or help an organisation build its approach from the ground up. This can be particularly useful for organisations that want to begin fundraising, rethink an existing model or take a more professional and strategic approach.

How I work

I work on specific assignments, part-time or in an interim management role, over the short or medium term. Depending on the project, I can work within your organisation or independently from my own office. Together, we define the format that best fits your needs, your organisation and the stage you are at.

I work fluently in French, Dutch, German and English. I am at home in Belgium’s multilingual environment and also work internationally.
